8" MISSOURI ROCKETS (original Rockettes) - MADCC

Madame Alexander Radio City Rockettes Collection - "Missouri Rockets" - LE 129/130 was produced exclusively for the 2010 MADC St. Louis Convention Welcome Breakfast Event.

Articulated blue-eyed, blonde with hair styled in fancy updo. She was part of the dance troupe known as the 'Missouri Rockettes' based in St. Louis, MO. In 1925, they traveled to NYC to perform on Broadway at the Roxy Theater and when the not-yet-Rockettes traveled to the Big Apple, they caught the eye of showman S.L. "Roxy" Rothafel, leading to the creation of the New York-based Roxyettes, who became the Rockettes.

She's wearing a midnight blue velveteen (lined in white) one-piece shorts dancing costume topped with matching jacket. The jacket is edged in silver piping and adorned with white stars held in place with clear beads. Her dance costume also includes matching velveteen cap; white gloves; nude tights and silver faux leather T-strap dance shoes. Never displayed.

In stock.
